Latina reveals how much she spends per month living near Miami, and social media reacts: "Florida is too expensive."

Breakdown of the monthly expenses of a Latino couple in Florida: rent, food, and more.

A young Latina residing in Florida has shared in a TikTok video a detailed breakdown of her monthly expenses along with her husband, living 25 minutes north of Miami, specifically in the city of Pembroke Pines. The content creator clarifies that they do not live in Miami, where prices are higher, and that costs can vary depending on the state.

The most significant part of their budget is the rent, which amounts to $2,100 for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment in a condominium with access to a pool, in an area described as quite pleasant. This amount does not include basic services.

Regarding service expenses, Cami (@camimateronn on TikTok) detailed that they pay 70 dollars for water, an average of 100 dollars for electricity, and 50 dollars for home internet. Additionally, they spend 100 dollars on mobile data between the two of them.

Regarding food, the young woman explains that they spend approximately 500 dollars a month at the supermarket without too much limitation. They also have a budget of 300 dollars for dining out at restaurants.

Both have a car, which means an expense of 900 dollars in total, plus an additional 300 dollars for vehicle insurance. The monthly gasoline cost is moderate, being approximately 100 dollars between the two cars. Additionally, they subscribe to several services for which they pay 60 dollars a month, and allocate another 200 dollars for health insurance.

In total, the couple spends about 4,800 dollars a month. However, the young woman mentions that if any extraordinary expenses arise, the amount can increase to 5,000 dollars.

This testimony reflects the cost of living for a couple in an area near Miami, where prices are not as high as in the city, but still considerable compared to other parts of the country.

In light of this detailed breakdown, there are those who believe they spend little while others claim it is a high figure. "Each state and city are different. We live in North Carolina and spend a maximum of about 4 thousand dollars a month. Weekend expenses are included there," "Florida is too expensive. You can’t live here anymore," "Miami is unbearable," "50 on gasoline and 500 on groceries is almost impossible," or "Here we are two adults and two children. A 2-bedroom apartment is 2600 dollars. Electricity is 250 and food is almost 2000. Internet is 90 and, well, if I keep adding!!!! I’m in Orlando," reacted some users.
