Cuban and Venezuelan compare their countries: "Without freedom, expensive internet, and dictator presidents"

What common points do Cuba and Venezuela have? Two young people from both countries denounce it in this video.

A Cuban and a Venezuelan starred in a video where they compared their countries, ironically highlighting some similar issues, such as the lack of freedom of expression and high internet prices.

Polarih (@polarih_) shared a video on TikTok in which he appears alongside a Venezuelan, where they both compare their countries. They start by talking about internet service and agree that, both in Cuba and Venezuela, access to the internet is extremely expensive.

"We don't have freedom of expression," says the Venezuelan, to which the Cuban responds without hesitation: "Neither do we."

"They take away our water and electricity," emphasized the Venezuelan. His video companion, referring to the current situation of blackouts in Cuba, added: "They also take it away from us."

Finally, the Venezuelan stated: "Maduro is 'mmgvo' (mamaguevo)," while the Cuban, unfazed, responds: "Miguel Díaz-Canel is a singao."

Both countries, despite geographical differences, share a common destiny under totalitarian regimes that have restricted the basic freedoms of their citizens.

Through humor and irony, both Cubans and Venezuelans find ways to denounce the difficult living conditions, where access to fundamental rights such as freedom of expression, water, electricity, and even the economy are limited by governments that have plunged their people into a constant struggle for survival.
