A Cuban woman is arrested accused of mistreating a baby at a daycare in Naples.

The Cuban, 54 years old, was arrested last week.

A woman was arrested last week in Naples, in Collier County, Florida, accused of physically abusing a child in a daycare she owned.

Deysi Acosta, 54 years old, was arrested on Tuesday after the victim's mother provided the Collier County Sheriff's Office with footage of the physical abuse that she received from another family whose daughter also attends that daycare and recorded what happened on an iPad.

According to the sheriff's office, the images showed Acosta aggressively striking an 11-month-old baby a total of six times on their right leg and on the buttocks while changing the diaper.

When the minor's mother confronted Acosta, she denied that it was her son and claimed that the person in the images was her nephew.

The first incident reportedly occurred in July, but the family was not sure whether it was abuse or not, as Acosta said the child had scratched himself. In September, more videos were sent to the baby's mother.

In the video, the girl recording the images can be heard saying that she is hiding the iPad in order to show the evidence to the police.

In the video, the researchers said that Acosta can be heard shouting and cursing at the child, whom he tells: "You are like a wild horse."

The authorities said that Acosta could be heard yelling at the victim by name and calling him with blasphemies in Spanish, according to the arrest report.

A judge found probable cause in the first court hearing of the Cuban woman, who faces charges of child abuse without serious bodily harm.

Judge Deborah Cunningham stated that the accused, as a condition of the bail, will not be allowed to have contact with the child or the child's mother, and will also not be allowed to have unsupervised contact with minor children.

The public defender for Acosta requested a standard bail and the state requested $5,000, but the judge ultimately set the bail at $10,000.

The family of the accused was also in court but refused to make any comments.

Acosta must appear before the court again on October 14 for his charge reading.
