Terrifying clown in Palmetto triggers police chase in Miami-Dade

A clown with a hammer caused alarm on a pedestrian bridge in Palmetto. The police are searching for him after his escape without a trace.


An unusual and chilling scene occurred on Tuesday morning in Miami-Dade County when traffic cameras captured a man dressed as a terrifying clown on a pedestrian bridge over the Palmetto Highway (SR-826), near Southwest 40th Street.

The individual, whose identity remains unknown, was holding what appeared to be a large black object that, according to the police, could have been a hammer.

The disturbing image was enough to alert the authorities and raise concerns among the drivers traveling on the busy highway.

Total Traffic, a service that monitors traffic in real-time, shared a video showing the clown running from the walkway, just before the Miami-Dade police officers arrived at the scene.

However, authorities were unable to capture the individual. According to reports, the suspect was last seen in the Westchester area, near Southwest 35th Street and 76th Avenue.

The Miami-Dade police have requested the community's cooperation and have urged anyone with information about the case to share the details with the authorities.

This unusual incident has raised concern among the residents of the area, who hope that the police can locate the person responsible.
