Cuban mocks from Italy about CDR party: “They didn’t paint the curb nor did they make caldosa”

With an ironic tone, a Cuban appears with a plastic container "looking" for where the caldosa is cooked, mocking the celebrations of the CDR.

A Cuban resident in Italy "nostalgically and ironically recalled" on social media the traditional caldosa that the regime used to promote in the neighborhoods of Cuba on the occasion of each anniversary of the creation of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR).

On TikTok (@elprofeperdu), the Cuban shared a video in which, in an ironic tone, he appears at the entrance of his house holding a plastic container, "looking for" the place where the traditional caldosa is prepared, clearly mocking the celebrations of the CDR.

"Isn't today September 28, the day of the CDR?" the young man pointed out sarcastically, as he lives outside of Cuba: "They didn't paint the curb here, there's no soup," he noted while showing his neighborhood.

The celebrations in Cuba for the 64th anniversary of the creation of the CDR were a reflection of the economic crisis faced by the population.

The regime announced the sale of a food module for almost 1,000 Cuban pesos in Guantánamo for the preparation of the traditional caldosa.

According to a note in the official local newspaper Venceremos, the supplies will be sold to the CDRs that will prepare the caldosa on Friday, September 27, as part of the festivities.

Additionally, the INDER held a "moving" tribute, organizing a morning event where a "symbolic" stew was prepared, undoubtedly the best reflection and critique of the scarcity suffered by the Cuban people.

However, in that context, the secretary of the organization, Gerardo Hernández Nordelo, urged Cubans not to overlook the day of the CDR.
