A motorcycle collides with a kiddie ride in Santiago de Cuba.

This traffic accident in Santiago de Cuba left several injured. Look at the details of the incident.

A motorcycle crashed into a pisicorre in Santiago de Cuba this Saturday at the dangerous intersection of Escario Street and Madre Vieja, in the Reparto Santa Bárbara.

Independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta reported on this case. The statements from witnesses indicate that the motorcycle driver did not stop at a Stop sign, which caused the collision with the pedicab.

In many places in Cuba, "pisicorre" refers to cars without a separation between the rear seats and the trunk, ending in a door with glass. They are usually used for transporting people, as in this case.

The passengers of both vehicles were injured, and some were left lying on the road after the impact. There is no information on the number of injured or their condition.

The injured people were immediately taken to the nearest hospital for emergency medical attention.

The driver of the pisicorre, a red vehicle, also went to the hospital to check on the condition of the injured before heading to the police unit to take part in the reconstruction of the events.

Mayeta stated that an official conclusion regarding the incident has not yet been reached. It is expected that when the injured recover, they will be able to provide more information about the case. The names of the individuals involved in the accident have not been disclosed.

In Santiago de Cuba, traffic accidents involving motorcycles have had tragic consequences in September 2024.

On September 27, two men died in a motorcycle accident near the Tienda Cubalse, on the El Caney highway. The victims were identified as Eddy Fresco Almenares and Druvis Revilla, both residents of the Vista Hermosa neighborhood.

A few days earlier, on September 24, another accident occurred in the city when a "almendrón" collided with a public transport bus at the intersection of Trocha and Santo Tomás streets.

This incident, although it did not result in any fatalities, drew attention due to the deteriorated condition of the vehicles involved and the large number of people in the area.
