The Cuban Roberto Otero Miranda passed away this Wednesday in a tragic car accident in Miami, Florida, according to reports on social media.
The user Nena Polier shared the information on Facebook: “In the early hours of today, someone died in a car accident at 49 and 4 of the E,” she wrote without providing details of the incident.
Polier's post has hundreds of comments from Cubans lamenting the event.
Three weeks ago, Yunior Leyva Céspedes, a 27-year-old Cuban resident in the United States, was one of the deceased in a traffic accident that occurred early Saturday morning on Interstate 595 near Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
Leyva Céspedes was traveling with two other passengers, who also died in the accident. He and another woman, 24 years old, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two weeks ago, it was announced that the third victim of a traffic accident that occurred in Hialeah in April died in the hospital where she had been admitted since then.
Liliana Hernández Molina, 66 years old, was the only woman who survived the terrible event in which her daughter Yarina García Hernández, 39 years old, and her sister Gloria Esther Hernández, 71 years old, lost their lives.
Similarly, relatives, friends, and other members of the Cuban community in the United States raised funds to help repatriate the body of the young Gianny Estévez García, 25 years old, who lost his life in a tragic traffic accident in South Dakota on the morning of September 18.
Estévez, who had arrived in the U.S. two years ago and was residing in Fort Myers, Florida, died last Wednesday around 12:46 a.m. when the truck he was driving collided with another truck 34 miles northwest of Philip, in Haakon County, according to a report from the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
