Cuban returns to Texas after trying to settle in Miami: "Miami doesn't work out."

A Cuban on TikTok compares the cost of living in Miami and Texas, highlighting the high prices in the City of the Sun.

After spending a month in Miami with his family evaluating whether to move to the City of the Sun, a Cuban living in Texas decided that the best option was to return to that state. He shared this reflection on TikTok, where he identifies as @jorge_drake1992, also known to his followers as El Huevito Mantilla.

In the video he shared, he explained that he was with his family in Miami for a month. "We were thinking of renting down there and living in Miami, but since everything is so expensive...", he said, highlighting the high price of rentals. "We went to see two or three rentals and you had to give like 6 thousand dollars as a deposit. An efficiency cost 1,500 dollars," he recounted. Additionally, he mentioned that his wife was disappointed by the traffic in the city. "She told me: let's go back to Texas, we're better off there."

In contrast to these prices in Miami, he stated that in Texas one can find a four-bedroom house for $2,300. Additionally, car insurance is cheaper and there is less traffic.

"With 1,300 dollars you can rent a two-bedroom apartment. Insurance and food are cheap. Everything is cheap," he added.

"We're better off staying in Texas, because I realized that things are not getting better in Miami. Anyone who wants to go there is in for a tough time," he commented.

In response to his reflection, some Cubans agreed with him, while others still prefer life in Miami.

"I'm leaving Miami this month after 10 years and moving to Texas," "Well, I'm not leaving Miami for anything, blessings," "The best decision: Texas," "I arrived in Houston two days ago. I have a one-bedroom apartment, I pay $850 and in Miami I was paying $1,500 for an efficiency. Today I got a quote for insurance for my two cars; the difference is huge," or "That's right, and there are people moving to Miami," some users said.
