The injured police officers were immediately taken to the Holguín Clinical Hospital, where they are receiving medical attention.

In the comments section, the author of the anonymous post explained that "the truck invaded the opposite lane."

Additionally, he pointed out that “he was turning left” towards the KTP combined factory “and the patrol car was coming from the roundabout towards the patrol unit.”

Jorge Montero Góngora noted that apparently, "the truck driver took the deceleration lane there with the intention of turning left, but something went wrong."

Regarding the incident, he also emphasized that “it could have even been a technical malfunction of the vehicle or a miscalculation of the distance and speed of the other car.”

The internet user Vega Batista Guirabito noted that it happened minutes after the accident occurred, and mentioned that "the truck was traveling downwards westbound and turned left towards the San Germán road."

He also stated, "Anyone familiar with that intersection knows that the vehicles are moving in the direction of traffic, meaning the truck had not finished crossing into the opposing lane."

Recently, a motorcycle from the Traffic Division of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) was involved in an accident after colliding with a car on the Almendares River Bridge in Havana.

A video shared by the Facebook page "Accidentes Automovilísticos en Cuba" showed both vehicles at the scene of the accident, the causes of which are unknown, as well as the condition of the occupants.

Also this Wednesday, the driver of a car lost control of the vehicle, which veered off the road and fell into a spillway in Havana, resulting in the deaths of two individuals in the accident.

A few days ago, a tragic traffic accident occurred on the busy José Martí Avenue, in front of the 18-story building in Santiago de Cuba.

Aris Arias Batalla, Provincial Operations and Relief Manager of the Cuban Red Cross, reported on Facebook that a motorist collided with the rear right side of a Lada vehicle belonging to the Electric Central Maintenance Company (EMCE), with license plate B 029752.
