Otaola insinuates that the Cuban government is behind the accusation against his former treasurer and issues a warning.

Otaola says that his intention is not to justify absolutely anything that happened with his former treasurer, that justice must do its job and that if he is found guilty, he must face the consequences.

The influencer Alexander Otaola reiterated in a loud voice that he has nothing to do with the recent sexual accusation that has led to the arrest of Andy Santana, the treasurer of his campaign for the mayor of Miami-Dade; while hinting that the Cuban government could be behind what happened and issued a warning.

Otaola -who previously published a written statement on his social media regarding the issue- described what happened on his program as “something sad.”

"We are dismayed, we disapprove of any act related to reprehensible actions against morality and acts that violate the law," he asserted.

"In this specific case, there are marked intentions to smear me with all this, and I want to be clear [...] The Cuban dictatorship has used this technique time and again to try to discredit and destroy the morale of people who oppose it. There have been recorded cases throughout the anti-communist history in Miami, good people who have become involved in this kind of acts," pointed out the former candidate for the Miami-Dade mayoralty.

However, he emphasized that his intention is not to absolutely justify anything that happened with his former treasurer, stating that justice must do its work and that if he is found guilty, he must answer for it.

“The minor repeatedly says my name in an attempt to involve me in an act like this. I want to make it clear that I have absolutely nothing to do with this,” he reiterated.

Although he described it as "painful and shameful" for his entire team to be involved in an incident of such nature, he noted that every person has the right to "presumption of innocence" until proven otherwise.

"Those who intend to use this to harm me will not succeed. Those who want to use this as a form of extortion to pressure me [...] will not succeed. They will not be able to silence me, neither the dictatorship in Havana nor its henchmen here," he pointed out.

"The young man in question keeps repeating my name and repeating my name. 'Otaola knew, Otaola was part of'... I want to deny this," concluded the influencer, who in his remarks pointed out several times that there is an intention to tarnish him but that they will achieve nothing because he says he will continue working with his head held high.

"I have nothing to hide. No one can mix me with things that do not represent my reality at all. My message to those behind this: 'Buckle up because the counterattack will be ruthless,'" he concluded.
