The Cuban Maya Bustillo Fernández, 65 years old, has been missing for several days in Havana, friends and family reported on social media.
According to her loved ones, Maya has been missing from her home for two days and was last seen in Butari Park, located in Porvenir, according to a Facebook post made by her niece Liubis Bustillo.
Maya was wearing a red or pink sweater and a pink skirt with flowers at the time of her disappearance, the report states.
Her family has also reported that the woman suffers from memory problems, which increases concern for her well-being.
If anyone has information about their whereabouts, please contact the numbers 56798977 (Alexis), 76995620 (Ivon), or 72719459 (Pedro).
The family appreciates any help in locating Maya, who has joined the list of missing people in Cuba, where reports of these cases have increased.
On October 3rd, the family of another elderly woman residing in the Plaza municipal area of Havana urgently sought help to locate the lady, who, like Maya, has been missing for several days.
Reports of missing persons have been very frequent this past year, as almost daily there are posts on social media requesting help from family and friends to obtain information that could help locate their loved ones, due to the lack of a channel from the Cuban state to do so.
Many people have come to light thanks to the visibility given to their cases by family members, ordinary citizens, platforms, and independent media, as neither the authorities nor the official press in the country publish alerts for disappearances.
