Cuban musician Chucho Valdés shared an emotional prayer dedicated to the reggaeton artist José Manuel Carbajal Zadívar, 37 years old, artistically known as El Taiger, after he remained in critical condition following being found in Miami with a gunshot wound to the head last Thursday.
"Prayer to Olodumare for the health of @el_taiger," wrote on Instagram the winner of seven GRAMMYs and five Latin GRAMMYs.
Olodumare is the main deity and creator of the Yoruba religion, which is the foundation of Santería and Candomblé among Afro-American immigrants.
In the shared video, the piano chords displayed a sensitivity only comparable to the reactions calling for the recovery of the interpreter of popular songs in Cuban reggaeton.
The reactions to the shared clip were diverse, all praising the greatness of Chucho Valdés and his dedication to El Taiger.
"Wonderful sound of the heart," "You are too great," "That's why you are the greatest," "Feeling of peace when listening to this little fragment," were some of the comments written on the post.
The expressions for El Taiger's health have been diverse and in different forms.
