El Taiger's grandmother sends a message to her grandson.

The elderly woman attended a mass this Tuesday at the Church of El Rincón, in Santiago de Las Vegas.

Nidia, El Taiger's grandmother, who at 90 years old has repeatedly declared that she loves him like a son, sent her grandson a message that has touched the hearts of thousands of the singer's followers, who continue to pray for him amid his critical health situation.

In a video shared on social media by the profile "La Familia Cubana," Nidia -who is an Alzheimer patient although not in a very advanced state- sent a message to El Taiger to "behave well."

The elderly woman participated at the beginning of this week in a visit to the sanctuary of San Lázaro in Santiago de Las Vegas, although it is not clear that "Bubu" - as her grandson calls her - is fully and permanently aware of El Taiger's actual state.

"Behave well and remember that he's a man, that 'I gave birth' to a man. I almost gave birth to him. Behave well and don't give me headaches. No mortification of any kind," she said when asked for a message for her grandson.

"He knows that he is my life, he knows it, because if there are two people that I love in life, they are that man and that woman," she said, also mentioning another granddaughter who was present during her statement.

"La Familia Cubana" also shared an emotional video on Instagram showing El Taiger's grandmother, one of the artist's young daughters, and other close ones of the singer united in prayer and pleading for his recovery.

The grandmother, who has maintained a very special bond with her grandson after the death of her daughter (El Taiger's mother), entered the church preceded by a choir singing "Get up the bar!" in honor of the artist.

El Taiger has always shown a strong attachment to his family in Cuba, one of the reasons why he claimed to travel to the island so frequently.

In December of last year, he surprised his grandmother Nidia with a mariachi band to celebrate her 90th birthday at one of the best restaurants in Havana.

Another of the reggaeton singer's relatives, his cousin, the singer Jorge Junior, explained this week that he has been unable to travel to the United States to see El Taiger because he is waiting for a humanitarian visa that neither he nor his mother have received yet.

What is the current status of El Taiger?

Amid strong rumors about the death of José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar (El Taiger), his representative confirmed in a press conference held on the afternoon of this Wednesday that the singer is still fighting for his life at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

"El Taiger is medically alive," said the legal representative of the artist.

"The situation is very complex, very delicate, as we still do not have clarity about what happened," the spokesperson added.

He also explained that the hospital cannot provide information to anyone other than a close family member, so the presence of a relative in the country is urgent.

"The situation is serious and although we hold a little hope, we also prepare for any eventuality," he said at the end of his message.
