The Cuban dancer and choreographer Michel Valdés (Micho) paid an emotional tribute to El Taiger at his dance academy, doing "what he wanted most," he stated.
"Yesterday we dedicated our entire class to @el_taiger #latrankademipais, we cried but we also danced and did what he wanted the people who knew him to do: have fun with his music," he expressed.
"A legend never dies, and we are proud to have more than 18 of his songs in our repertoire of choreographies. So he will forever live here among our people, from children to adults; I will ensure that his legacy is not lost," said the director of the academy Baila con Micho.
"I hoped that he would get up from that bed. But I also promised that as long as my academy existed, the music of El Taiger would be remembered," he said.
The chosen song to open the class was Papelito, which moved the students to tears.
Looking at the camera that was recording him and addressing the reggaeton artist directly, the dancer said: "This class is for you. And wherever you are, this little piece of class is yours."
"You are already considered a legend on Earth," he concluded.
Micho had dedicated another class to El Taiger six days ago, to ask him to recover after the artist was shot in the head.
This Thursday, Jackson Memorial Hospital confirmed the death of the reggaeton artist, one of the most important in the urban genre on the island.
