Accident in Havana: Two injured and the ambulance never arrived.

Despite the neighbors' calls to emergency numbers, the ambulance never arrived at the scene of the accident.

A publication issued as a warning by traffic authorities at a hazardous intersection in Havana reported an accident that occurred on the afternoon of this Monday, resulting in injuries to two individuals.

According to a report posted in the Facebook group “ACCIDENTES BUSES & CAMIONES por más experiencia y menos víctimas!”, two people, apparently riding a motorcycle, were involved in an accident at the corner of Zapote and Durege, in the Santo Suárez neighborhood of the Diez de Octubre municipality.

The user in charge of the post specified that the injured lay on the floor for more than 25 minutes without any ambulance arriving to assist them, despite her and several neighbors calling the emergency numbers provided by the government.

"I called 106 and the operator told me to contact SIUM directly. Many neighbors have also reported, as we have had bitter experiences in this regard," the woman commented on Facebook. However, it was possible to see the presence of a police patrol.

He also expressed gratitude to the firefighters from Command 1 for assisting the injured, who were identified as a man and a woman.

"I extend my respects to the comrades of Command #1 of the Fire Department who were passing by and stopped to help immobilize the injured because the man was in very bad condition and should only be assisted by trained personnel who are aware of all the potential injuries caused by the impact," he wrote.

This person also noted that the corner where the accident occurred is "dangerous because people are overconfident and do not respect the Yield sign, which is not just for decoration."

He added that "since July 11, when they honored us by paving many streets in Santo Suárez, there have been six fatalities or more, all of whom were motorcyclists."

In the comments section, it was added that the two injured individuals were taken to receive medical attention in cars that passed by the site.

Last Wednesday night, several people were injured when the Nissan truck they were traveling in crashed into an electricity pole in the Diez de Octubre municipality.

The incident occurred precisely at Úrsula and Destrampes, in the Sevillano neighborhood.

While a motorist died in Santa Cruz del Norte, Mayabeque, after colliding with a bus.

On the morning of last Saturday, an accident involving three trucks occurred at the entrance of the province of Camagüey.

Some users reported that the incident occurred near the Radio Reloj station in that province, specifically before the Florida checkpoint.
