The elected president of the United States, Donald Trump, has begun to announce the names of his upcoming administration, set to start on January 20, 2025, highlighting his intention to advance his MAGA ("Make America Great Again") agenda.

An analysis of the names that the president has announced so far as members of his cabinet includes the first woman to be appointed as White House chief of staff, who is his campaign director, Susie Wiles.

"Susie is tough, intelligent, innovative, and is universally admired and respected," Trump said in a statement.

It has drawn attention how the following names on Trump's list are connected to national security and border management, fulfilling one of the former president's major promises during the presidential campaign.

On Sunday, Trump announced that Tom Homan, a 62-year-old known for his strong positions on immigration, will be the new "border czar."

"I am pleased to announce that former ICE director and a staunch supporter of border control, Tom Homan, will join the Trump administration, overseeing the borders of our nation," wrote the mogul on his Truth Social platform.

The outlook with Homan's appointment is that he will likely implement a strict border control policy, says the EFE agency.

Trump has also appointed Stephen Miller as deputy director of policy for the White House. This appointment was praised by elected vice president JD Vance, who confessed that “this is another fantastic choice by the president.”

At 39 years old, Miller, who served as an advisor to Trump during his first term, is a key strategist on immigration issues for the president-elect, as confirmed by Vance.

Other official appointments by the magnate include Lee Zeldin as head of the Environmental Protection Agency and Elise Stefanik as the country's ambassador to the UN.

However, upcoming announcements have already been leaked by several media outlets, although without official confirmation.

According to Reuters, Trump has chosen Republican Congressman Mike Waltz to be his national security advisor.

Waltz is a retired green beret from the National Army who has been one of the main critics of China.

For the position of Secretary of Homeland Security, the appointment of Kristi Noem, current governor of South Dakota, has been announced, which would create a significant triangle in migration matters.

Finally, the reports also assess the appointment of Cuban-American Senator Marco Rubio to head the State Department. Although the decision could still be changed, sources close to Trump assert that Rubio, 53, is a strong contender for that influential position, partly due to his experience and the symbolism he represents as a Latino leader in the Republican Party.

Trump's return to the White House was characterized by strong support from the American electorate. This support is evident for his policies on immigration control, protectionist economics, and the defense of traditional values.

At the same time, they pose new challenges for the unity and stability of the country, as well as for international relations, since their administration may follow a path similar to that of their first term.
