Gente de Zona and David Bisbal pay tribute to Carlos Vives as Person of the Year at the Latin Grammy Awards

Alexander Delgado, Randy Malcom, and David Bisbal paid tribute to Carlos Vives with a vibrant performance that had the audience dancing in Miami.

Gente de Zona and David Bisbal paid tribute on Wednesday to Carlos Vives, the artist honored by the Latin Recording Academy as Person of the Year 2024.

Alexander Delgado, Randy Malcom, and the Spanish singer had a vibrant and flavorful moment at the event dedicated to the Colombian artist during this 25th edition of the Latin Grammy Awards.

David Bisbal had the honor of kicking off this memorable moment at the gala held at the Miami Beach Convention Center by performing "Fruta Fresca," one of Vives' hits.

Seconds later, the Cubans joined him to unleash the madness on stage and get the entire audience dancing.

The three gifted the audience with some exclusive hip movements while Carlos Vives enjoyed his song sung by his peers.

The honoree couldn't resist the temptation and, at one point during the show, went up on stage to dance alongside Alexander, Randy, and Bisbal.

"Very happy and honored to pay this tribute to a teacher and artist I greatly admire," Alexander wrote on Instagram alongside several images from the presentation.

In his 30-year artistic career as a singer and songwriter, Carlos Vives has won 18 Latin Grammy Awards and two Grammy Awards.

Tonight at the Kaseya Center in Miami, the awards gala for the 25th edition of the Latin Grammy Awards will take place, featuring several Cuban artists among the nominees.
