A traffic accident was reported on Saturday night in the municipality of Moa, Holguín province, when a tractor carrying eleven people fell from a bridge near the Ernesto Che Guevara mining company. Among the passengers were three minors.
According to reports from the Provincial Health Directorate of Holguín, the incident immediately prompted combined rescue and salvage forces from the Pedro Sotto Alba and Ernesto Che Guevara industries, as well as Command 30, who acted swiftly to rescue the occupants of the crashed vehicle.
Fortunately, no fatalities have been reported, although all passengers sustained injuries.
The director of the official station La Voz del Níquel, Camilo Velazco Petittón, shared the names of the injured individuals and their health status, all of whom are admitted to the General Hospital Doctor Guillermo Luis Fernández Hernández-Baquero in Moa.
