This Thursday, shocking images emerged of the moment Damián Valdez-Galloso shot El Taiger in the head, an event that has caused both uproar and significant outrage among Cuban fans of the artist.
A security camera captured the moment when the reggaeton artist arrived at Damián's house and began to knock on his door, immediately followed by Damián opening it, after which the singer fell to the ground after being shot.
In the Instagram post by Telemundo 51, featuring images categorized as explicit, dozens of users reacted: “That man was waiting for him; he had everything planned out and thought through—he didn't give him a chance”; “Incredible, the cold-bloodedness is out of this world, such powerlessness”; “No words, he didn’t hesitate, straight to the head; he should never leave prison”; “He was waiting for him. You don’t just shoot like that. First-degree murder and the maximum penalty for Valdez-Galloso. Justice”; “It’s unbelievable he was waiting for him, and it's clear he arrived without a weapon, which means he can’t claim he feared for his life”; “What powerlessness, this man is devoid of feelings; how could he do that, my God? Damián deserves the death penalty; this was all planned cold-bloodedly, and El Taiger had no idea.”
In CiberCuba's posts on their Facebook profile, hundreds of people have joined in demanding justice for José Manuel Carbajal. Many believe the homicide was premeditated, arguing that Damián Valdez should be charged with first-degree murder; others point out that the images are very harsh, especially for his children who might see them at some point.
“In that video, it’s clear it only took seconds; as soon as he knocked on the door, he was shot... it was premeditated, he was already waiting for him (...) How sad that his daughters will see this video someday,” said one comment. “It’s obvious there was premeditation. El Taiger knocked, and when he opened the door, he killed him without any scruples; he was waiting for him,” noted another. “How tragic. But I think these things shouldn’t be published; he has children, family, and it must be very painful for them. No one knows the trauma this could cause his daughters,” another commenter shared. “And still, he has the audacity to plead not guilty; justice for José, and may the full weight of the law fall upon him,” others expressed in the comments.
On November 21, Damián Vladez-Galloso was supposed to appear before the Miami-Dade court, but he did not show up. His attorney informed the judge that the defendant was pleading not guilty, which also caused a lot of outrage among El Taiger's supporters.
