Where to shop cheap in the U.S.? Discover it with this Cuban in Nebraska

"If you want to save on brand-name clothing, this video is for you."

A Cuban in Nebraska has garnered attention on social media with two videos in which he shares, based on his experience, the cheapest stores in the United States.

With a friendly and humorous tone, the creator known as Soy Edgy has shared his ranking of budget stores, highlighting prices, products, and details that everyone living in the U.S. can take advantage of to save money.

In her first video, @soy_edgy mentions TJ Maxx, Ross, and Burlington. Regarding TJ Maxx, she explains that it is an excellent option for finding products from well-known brands at affordable prices, particularly highlighting their cosmetics section: “This Clinique facial cleanser that costs $30 on Amazon is here at TJ Maxx for $12.99.” She then talks about Ross, a store very popular among immigrants: “You can find everything here: perfumes, clothing, home items, all at bargain prices. The only downside is the mess.” Finally, she considers Burlington the cheapest option: “I filled a cart with clothes for $130. Here, you can find shorts starting at $7.99, coats from brands like Reebok for $24.99, and Calvin Klein bags for just $14.99.”

In a second video, the Cuban expands the list in response to a comment and adds three new stores: Goodwill, Five Below, and Marshall’s. At Goodwill, a thrift store, he highlights the low prices but jokes about the comments he’s heard: “They say that most of the stuff they sell comes from donations of people who have passed away, but nothing that a good wash won’t fix.” He points out that everything at Five Below costs $5, from accessories to athletic wear. Finally, he names Marshall’s as his favorite for its quality and product variety, in addition to its connection with Home Goods, “the paradise for homemakers.”

The reactions from their followers came swiftly. Many commented on other budget stores, such as DD’s Discounts, Dollar Tree, and Savers. "DD’s Discounts is also super affordable"; "You can find really nice things at DD’s"; "It should have been included," several users wrote. Others agreed with the selections, while some joked about Goodwill: "The first time I went, they told me the clothes were from deceased people, but I bought it anyway, and I had a good experience."

Additionally, the creator took the opportunity to clarify in the comments that their ranking reflects the stores available in their city: "Guys, where I live there are no DD’s Discounts, but I will include it in a future list." Their previous video, where they showcased their purchases at Burlington, was also very popular, reinforcing the trust their followers have in their recommendations.

With this type of practical and relatable content, the Cuban has managed to capture the attention of thousands of users, demonstrating that saving money and shopping with style in the U.S. doesn't have to be complicated.
