A Cuban grandfather recently arrived in the United States has gone viral for his reaction upon thinking there was a power outage in his home in West Palm Beach.

The 77-year-old man was happily dancing with his nephews when suddenly everything went dark. While they pretended to be annoyed and blamed him for the power outages, the elderly man couldn’t figure out what to do.

"I'm going to Cuba," he/she asserted.

After a few minutes, they turned on the lights and began to applaud and shout with joy, just like they do in Cuba. At this moment, blackouts on the Island are lasting over 15 hours.

"Is the current coming in fast?" he asked innocently.

The video was shared on TikTok by a Cuban who identifies as @lety_palmbeach, who confessed that they took down the katao at her house.

A few days ago, Lety's family gave a heartfelt welcome to grandpa at an airport in Florida, after he arrived with a tourist visa following his trip through Guyana.

In the unique welcome, filled with humor and creativity, family members dressed as characters like a cow, Pikachu, and Shrek embraced him joyfully. The uncle, visibly moved and surprised, had to guess who was who amidst hugs and smiles full of affection.
