Cuban boxer Yordenis Ugás shared with his followers his home in Las Vegas, which his mother hasn't had the chance to visit yet during his brief time in the United States.
"Counting the days until my mom sees our house in Las Vegas," she said.
The boxer shared a video on his Instagram account showing the front of the beautiful two-story home that mother and son will soon be able to share. Apparently, his beloved Milagros has only been staying in the apartment she has in Miami.
Yordenis has been experiencing days of intense happiness since he was able to fulfill his long-time dream of bringing his mother out of Cuba at the beginning of November.
In the 14 years since he left, he spent almost nine years without seeing Milagros, a punishment imposed by the Castro regime for pursuing his dreams. They could only meet in Panama and Mexico, as he is not allowed to return to Cuba.
"I am very grateful and feel very blessed. If you are new here, if you've only been in this country for a few years and things aren't going well for you, please don’t lose hope. Be patient, be smart. This comes from someone who thought they would be a champion in 2-3 years, but it actually took 10 years," he assured.
Since arriving in the United States this month, the woman’s son has been treating her, such as taking her to a concert by the Mexican artist Ana Gabriel.
"Mom used to say to me, 'pinch me, I must be dreaming.' If you are lucky enough to have your mom alive and nearby, take her out one day and try to experience something like that," she commented on her social media.
Recently, he shared a video showing them dancing and singing in the living room of their apartment, showcasing the affection and bond they share.
"We're no longer asking God for whims, for being the best in the world, or to win, win, win. No, now the only thing I ask God for is to give my dear Milagros good health and long life, and to be able to recover some of the lost time. May God bless her always," Ugás said in a post on X.
In a recent post, the boxer was seen driving with his mother as a passenger: "Everything I am, and hope to be, I owe to my mother… Thanks to her prayers, her love, and support since I was a child," he expressed in a message full of love and admiration.
