A Cuban father arrived in the United States to reunite with his children, who are in the care of a foster family.
In an exclusive video sent to CiberCuba, the emotional reunion of the man with one of the children is seen.
"I entered with a visa and was able to see them here; that was the meeting in Las Vegas," he noted.
Father and son were separated for two years, until he managed to travel legally to the United States.
"His father manages to reach the United States with a non-immigrant visa to fight for them, as they are in foster family home. A wonderful encounter captured in the images," said the video’s author.
The minors were in a Foster Family Home, a state-regulated system in which children who have been separated from their biological parents due to circumstances that endanger their well-being, such as abuse, neglect, abandonment, or other issues, are placed in a family home.
The minor is temporarily placed in the care of a family with whom they have no familial relationship, until a permanent living option can be arranged, such as returning to their family of origin, adoption, or reaching adulthood.
