The woman was headed to the town of Maceo, one kilometer away, but she never arrived, prompting her family to report her disappearance to the police, while groups and citizens mobilized to search for her.

I Do Believe You in Cuba emphasized that Esperanza is slender, stands 1.65 meters tall, and has black skin and hair, with brown eyes.

On the day of her disappearance, she was wearing a green sweater, light blue jeans, a caramel-colored scarf on her head, black sandals, and was carrying a handbag.

Additionally, the family assures that they have no physical or mental health issues.

The phone numbers 45332337, 56278141, and 58736470 have been made available for anyone with information about his whereabouts to get in touch and assist in the search.

The platform called for solidarity and collaboration to find Esperanza Cabrera Melvin.

Her sister, Walkiria Quintana, in a heart-wrenching post on social media, pleaded for citizens' cooperation.

“Please, help us. We don’t know what happened, but someone must have seen something. This is unlike anything else. It’s been days without eating, without sleeping, nights and days crying with a desperation that feels overwhelming,” expressed in a desperate plea.

Recently, the Alas Tensas Gender Observatory (OGAT) published a list of cases that remain without effective solutions, as the families of missing women and girls cry out for answers.

The platform emphasized that there are at least 10 unresolved cases, many of which have been outstanding for over a decade.

In many cases, the lack of protocols, limited legal resources, and the criminalization of independent organizations have left families in a state of desperation and helplessness, the organization notes.
