Relatives of a Cuban woman who is missing in Mexico turned to independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada to publicize the case and try to locate her.
The young woman is named Lorena Rosabal Guevara, 28 years old and originally from Santiago de Cuba.
"He is on his way to the United States, but his family has not known his whereabouts since 9:00 AM on December 21, 2024," Mayeta detailed on her Facebook wall.
According to reports from Lorena's family, the last time they heard from her, she was in the town of San José el Hueyate, which is part of the municipality of Mazatán in the state of Chiapas.
The girl was heading to Mexico City accompanied by another compatriot from Santiago de Cuba known as Jorgito, whose whereabouts are also unknown.
"They have written to the page asking us to publish their photos, and anyone who can recognize them and provide their location should mention it in the messages," the reporter specified.
"Anyone with information about this young woman can write in the comments," he/she added.
