The dollar "wakes up" in the informal market.
At dawn this Friday, the US dollar shows a slight increase in price after remaining unchanged for six days, according to reports from the independent media El Toque, which documents the fluctuations of currencies in Cuba.
At 9:00 a.m. (Cuban local time) the dollar is sold on average for 341 CUP, one peso more than its selling price since January 11th.
However, the median value places the dollar's average selling price at 343, which suggests that the currency's price could continue to rise in the coming hours.
In the case of the euro and the Freely Convertible Currency (MLC), they remain stable: the European currency is valued at 345 CUP and the virtual currency at 240 CUP.
