A young Cuban woman was found dead last Saturday in the area known as Fraccionamiento Los Héroes Coacalco, in the State of Mexico.

The authorities found the body in the house he shared with four other migrants, also of Cuban nationality.

The victim, identified as Yenisleydis Gutiérrez Brito, had been residing for months in the locality of Coacalco, as reported by the Mexican press.

She was an optometrist, originally from the province of Matanzas, and was waiting to travel to the United States to reunite with her husband.

"Until when, Mexico? You are beautiful, but my time here should already be coming to an end," Gutiérrez Brito wrote on Facebook on December 27, confirming his desire for his arrival in the United States to happen as soon as possible.

The young woman's family reported her disappearance since Monday, January 13, when she stopped responding to phone calls.

Yenisleydis Gutiérrez, who was the mother of a child still in Cuba, had found work at a tortilla shop in Coacalco and was known by the local neighbors.

After the discovery of the corpse was made public, the victim's husband and brother expressed their outrage on social media, where they pointed out the young woman's housemates as presumed responsible for her death.

In their publications, they demanded justice and requested the intervention of the authorities of the State of Mexico and the National Migration Institute (INM) to locate the alleged suspects.

"These people are accomplices and responsible for the death of my sister Yenisleydis Gutiérrez. They hid like rats when they stopped answering the phone, changed their numbers, and closed their social media accounts," wrote her brother, Yordanys Gutiérrez, who resides in the state of Texas.

"Since Monday they disappeared, when she stopped answering the phone. They changed their number, shut down their social media, and hid like the rats they are," Gutiérrez added in his social media post.

"Today is a very difficult day for everyone, and sadness is breaking many hearts all over the world. The pain and suffering will never cease in our hearts. Your departure has been a loud thunderclap for us all. You are in heaven today, and I will never forget you. As I always called you: my Piojo, my spoiled one, my queen, my troublemaker," wrote the young woman's husband, Edgar López, in an emotional farewell message.

The General Prosecutor's Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) confirmed that investigations are already underway to clarify the events and determine the relevant responsibilities.
