Maikel Fariña Carballo, a Cuban who was only 40 years old and resided in the state of Nebraska, in the United States, was murdered this week under circumstances that are being investigated.

It is a dramatic circumstance that Fariña Carballo, originally from Sancti Spíritus, had married Némesys Margarita Veloz, another Cuban from Sancti Spíritus, this past December 23.

The news of the unexpected murder of Maikel Fariña was announced on social media by content creator Roger Ramírez.

Ramírez came to the aid of Fariña Carballo last year when he was homeless in Hialeah and sought support to find shelter and employment, which he ultimately achieved.

In another interview with Ramírez, the Cuban explained how his life turned around thanks to the intervention of the content creator and the people who supported him as a result of that.

"God bless you", Liz García wrote on Facebook this week while reporting on the murder of Maikel Fariña, who, it seems, had managed to rebuild his life despite going through a tough time.

Although the cause of death and the alleged perpetrator of the crime have not been named by official sources, in the comments section of one of the social media posts, a couple of users identified the presumed murderer as "Dayán vaca flaca."
