In one of the most recent videos shared on her profile, where Dari’s Latin Bakery is described as "the best Cuban sweets in Tampa," she demonstrated step by step how to make the famous Cuban chiviricos, leaving more than one person drooling and rushing to the kitchen.
In the clip, which has already gathered hundreds of likes and dozens of comments, Dari begins by saying: “Oh my gosh, look what I'm going to teach you to make today, these delicious Cuban chiviricos.”
The recipe, which stirs not only delight but also nostalgia for many, is straightforward and, according to Dari, you just need the basics: “If you're at home and only have water, sugar, flour, and eggs, and don’t know what to do, I’m going to teach you.” Throughout the video, he demonstrates how to mix the ingredients, knead without pressing too hard, and fry until the chiviricos are golden brown. The finishing touch, of course, is to sprinkle them with sugar.
The comments on her post reflect the enthusiasm the recipe generated. Some users bombarded her with questions, such as, “Can coconut flour be used?” or “What exact amount of water and oil did you use?” Dari responded patiently, clarifying that “two tablespoons of oil and one cup of water are enough, but add it little by little according to what the dough needs.” Others took the opportunity to share their experiences, like one user who confessed, “I made them last night, thanks for the recipe,” while another humorously admitted, “The diet is in jeopardy.”
