"Here in Cuba, there's everything": The phrase of a Cuban on the island that sparked a storm on social media in a viral video

A TikTok video featuring a Cuban woman claiming that there is "everything" in Cuba has sparked controversy on social media. While she showcases available products, users emphasize the scarcity and high prices on the island.

A Cuban TikTok user named @yuyudecuba has sparked a buzz on social media after responding to a comment that questioned the availability of products in Cuba.

The video, shared by the TikToker Yuyu from Cuba, arises as a response to an internet user who claimed: "What world do you live in? That's not happening in Cuba."

In light of this statement, the Cuban woman decided to showcase some of the products that, according to her, can be found on the island through street vendors.

In the video, products such as onions and tomato puree packaged in plastic bottles are visible, while the TikToker expresses: "My life, good evening, I don't know if you are Cuban or not, but in Cuba there is indeed everything, my dear. There is garlic and onion, there are peppers, there is whatever you want, but you have to look for money."

Reactions to the post were swift. While some users supported his words, others questioned his statement and expressed disagreement.

"There's everything except freedom," commented an internet user. Another added: "There's everything except money. Right now in my town of 11,000 inhabitants, there is no rice; my family has to go to Havana to buy it. But don't worry, there's everything."

The issue of access to food and essential products in Cuba remains a sensitive topic. Although certain products may be available in the informal market or through street vendors, their high prices and the low purchasing power of most Cubans make access limited.

User comments also highlighted the economic crisis and inflation affecting the country: "With exorbitant prices. And minimum wages aren’t enough for anything," stated another user.

The video has ignited a debate on social media regarding the reality of supply in Cuba, highlighting the different perspectives that exist about daily life on the island.
