Cubans on social media identified the young mother stabbed by her ex-partner in Holguín and the murderer, who died minutes after committing the crime in a traffic accident while fleeing on his motorcycle.
The victim was named Alianna Laborde Díaz. According to activist Lara Crofs, she was 32 years old and worked at the CUPET on the Gibara road, where she was killed.
The murderer was named Rafael Velázquez and had recently served a sentence for threats against his ex-wife.
"He died minutes later, victim of an accident on the way out of San Andrés, on the same motorcycle he was trying to escape on, after inflicting more than ten stab wounds on the girl and seriously injuring the duty officer who came to her defense," it was detailed on Facebook.
Alianna, the establishment's doorman, is survived by a 12-year-old son. She died at the scene.

According to a user on Facebook "La Tijera", Velázquez killed his ex-partner inside the service station. "He showed up at the location and entered the service station's offices with a knife." Meanwhile, the shift supervisor suffered injuries to his abdomen and arms.
An internet user claimed that the victim "had an intermittent relationship with the perpetrator." Several people denied that the man is the father of her child, as was mistakenly reported initially.
After committing the crime, the assailant fled on his motorcycle and upon reaching the exit of San Andrés, at the turnoff to head toward the viewpoint of La Loma de la Cruz, he crashed into the facade of a house next to the La Trinchera warehouse.
"Everything seems to indicate that, dazed by what had happened, he got on the motorcycle but without paying proper attention to his driving. He lost control on a curve and ended up crashing into the front of a house," explained Pedro Domínguez, moderator of the Facebook group "ACCIDENTS BUSES & TRUCKS for more experience and fewer victims!"
Domínguez shared several photos that illustrate the extent of the accident. The perpetrator died in the hospital due to the impact of the blow he sustained to the head.
