The authorities of Miami-Dade reported on the arrest of four individuals in connection with the murder of Delilah Ruiz, a 20-year-old Hispanic woman who was shot on Saturday, February 8, in front of her home in the city of Hialeah.
Among those detained is her boyfriend, Elijah Clarke, 19 years old, identified as the alleged author of the fatal shot.

According to the investigation by the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO) -revealed by local media- the victim was at home when her boyfriend arrived and began a heated argument over money.
The dispute revolved around a joint bank account held by the couple.
According to reports, Delilah Ruiz discovered that Clarke had transferred an amount of money from the account. In response, the young woman withdrew the remaining 37 dollars and sent it to a friend.
Shortly after, the suspect arrived at the residence, began to smash the windows, and vandalized the victim's car.
The situation turned violent when Clarke allegedly pulled out a firearm and shot Delilah Ruiz.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:56 p.m. on February 8 at 18963 NW 63 Court Circle. MDSO agents arrived at the scene after receiving a report of gunfire.
The paramedics from the Miami-Dade Fire Department urgently transported the young woman to Memorial Regional Hospital, where she was pronounced dead despite attempts to save her life.
The victim's grandfather revealed that his granddaughter was shot twice and that, when the paramedics lifted her into the ambulance, they informed him that she no longer had a pulse and had died at the scene.
The arrests and Clarke's escape
Neighbors in the area reported to Univision that Clarke and Ruiz were in a romantic relationship, although they apparently were not on good terms at the time of the murder.
After committing the crime, Clarke fled the scene in a vehicle allegedly driven by his friend Christopher Valdés. The swift intervention of the authorities enabled the identification of the suspects and the issuance of arrest warrants.
On Monday, February 10, the Violent Street Homicide Task Force of the MDSO, in collaboration with the Broward County Sheriff's Office and the Miramar Police Department, arrested Christopher Valdés in the city of Miramar.
Valdés, 19 years old, faces charges of being an accomplice to murder, as he allegedly helped Clarke escape from the crime scene.
On Tuesday, February 11, Clarke was located and arrested in Houston, Texas, by the local Police Department.
Alongside him, Rafael Torralba and Angelina Valledor, a 17-year-old girl, were arrested, facing charges for obstructing the apprehension and processing of the case.
Clarke is expected to be extradited in the coming days to the state of Florida, where he will face charges of murder.
Friends and family of Ruiz have opened a fundraising page on GoFundMe to help with funeral expenses. Authorities continue the investigation to accurately determine the level of involvement of the other detainees in the case.
