The police operations in Havana against drug trafficking have increased significantly in recent days, according to reports from government-affiliated profiles on social media that have provided data and images related to drug seizures and arrests in various municipalities.

The internet user identified as Javier Gutiérrez, linked to the Cuban police, reported from his Facebook profile that in Havana municipalities, drug raids have been conducted, resulting in the seizure of large sums of money and the apprehension of Cubans involved in the sale of narcotics.

This week, according to that user's posts, a drug trafficker nicknamed "El Keny" and one of his accomplices were arrested in Arroyo Naranjo and Consejo Mantilla.

In the man's house, bags containing cocaine, a digital scale, and more than 20 thousand dollars were found.

On the other hand, in the Alturas de la Lisa neighborhood, the authorities arrested a man identified as Héctor, at whose house they found three packages of drugs and eight "little papers".

In San Miguel del Padrón, during another operation carried out on Friday, they seized large sums of money, drug production documents, and "even tools to manufacture them."

"This is not just an issue for the authorities; it is a call to all of us. The fight against drugs is a responsibility of society as a whole," said the internet user Gutiérrez in a triumphant tone, praising the "speed" of police action following repeated criticism of their negligence.

Also in Guanabacoa, they recorded a house located in Santo Domingo between Calixto García and Estrada Palma, where Juan Carlos Soto was arrested on charges of drug trafficking.

During the operation, the authorities found one large and one small package, in addition to 16 small packets, a pair of scissors, a book with cut-out pages, a bag, and a spool of thread, items that are presumably related to the drug sales process.

In Marianao and in the Plaza de la Revolución municipality, there have been raids in recent days, as reported by the official profile of Gutiérrez.

In the La Rampa People's Council, agents from the Ministry of the Interior arrested a citizen with a criminal record for drug trafficking.

The incident occurred on Calle I between Calzada and 9, where the accused allegedly had "high doses of the known chemical, up to 126 so far."

Since the Cuban police announced their operation, dozens of people have been arrested in Havana.

In surprise raids, the police have managed to seize drugs, money, and materials for the trafficking of these illegal substances.

In the municipality of Boyeros, the Sector Chief of the Wajay neighborhood caught a trafficker in the act, seizing 128 packets of the cannabinoid known as "the chemical."

Similarly, in La Güinera, in the Arroyo Naranjo municipality, people have been caught selling cannabinoids.

Among those arrested in that case are Marnoldis Utria and Luis Echarte Cruz.

The Cuban regime claims that it has launched a war against drug trafficking, supporting the rhetoric of zero tolerance towards drugs.

Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz emphasized that synthetic substances are being introduced into the country through "new methods and techniques," and this phenomenon affects the island's security.

In the current context of public complaints and an increase in reports by independent media regarding the consumption of "the chemical," the Cuban government has proposed the creation of the National Drug Observatory (OND), an institution under the direction of the Ministry of Justice (Minjus) that will be responsible for monitoring and overseeing the phenomenon of drugs on the island.

Through an Early Warning System, they aim to identify new psychoactive substances and minimize the risks associated with their consumption and distribution.

The consumption of "the chemical" has resulted in tragic scenes of young people lying on the street, hallucinating and convulsing after consuming the drug.
