The airline Air Europa announced an increase in its flights to Havana starting next summer, which will operate daily between the Cuban capital and Madrid. This measure is part of an expansion plan for its transatlantic routes to strengthen the connection between Europe and America.

According to the Globalia company, the increase in frequencies to Havana will rise from six to seven weekly flights, ensuring a daily connection between both destinations. Until now, the airline did not operate on Sundays on this route, but starting in June, flights will be available every day.

The José Martí International Airport in Havana confirmed through its official channel on Telegram that Air Europa currently operates a daily flight to the city, except on Sundays. With the new summer schedule, the airline is expected to maintain the daily frequency without interruptions.

The increase in flights to Havana reinforces Air Europa's presence in Cuba, consolidating it as one of the main options for travelers seeking direct connections between the Island and Spain.

Currently, Air Europa operates daily flights to Miami, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Lima, and Santo Domingo.

In addition to Cuba, the airline will also increase its services in Medellín (Colombia), Asunción (Paraguay), Panama, and New York (USA), making them daily destinations.

More seats and high occupancy

Air Europa's expansion includes not only more routes and frequencies but also an increase in passenger transport capacity. With this expansion, it will offer 3.5 million seats on its long-haul routes during 2025, exceeding the capacity of 2024. The airline expects to transport 3.3 million passengers this year, with an occupancy rate exceeding 84% on each flight.

According to the portal Aviación al día, in order to enhance the flying experience and optimize operational efficiency, the company will add three new units of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner this year.
