A cold front will arrive in Cuba this Monday, bringing rain to the west and the center of the island

Behind the cold front, a mass of cold and dry continental air will move into the region.

The Cuban meteorologist José Rubiera announced on his social media the arrival of a new cold front to Cuba on Monday. According to satellite forecasts, the system will bring rain and showers to several regions of the Island, as well as a drop in temperatures.

During the early hours of Monday, the cold front will bring showers, rain, and thunderstorms to the southeastern states of the United States, including northern and central Florida. As it progresses, it will reach southern Florida and later Cuba.

As it moves through Cuba, it will bring showers and rain, and it will be a front that on Monday will cross the western and central parts of the country, also reaching the central Bahamas, while lagging a little further towards the coast of Honduras in Central America," Rubiera explained in his latest report on his YouTube channel.

Behind the cold front, a mass of cold, dry continental air will move into the region, resulting in a drop in temperatures. However, this cooling will not be prolonged.

"Temperatures will drop between Monday and Tuesday in the southeast of the United States, north, central, and southern Florida, the Bahamas, and the western and central regions of Cuba," the meteorologist explained.

By Tuesday, the system, now weakened, will continue its path toward the east, gradually losing strength.
