In CiberCuba, we kick off the year 2025 by setting historical records on some of our most important platforms, specifically on our main Facebook page (CiberCuba Noticias), as well as on our website and app. The data presented here, while only a fraction of the actual reach of our media across other networks and secondary platforms, clearly reflects our growth and the loyalty of our audience.
The year 2024 was also a historic year for our platform, during which we surpassed 169 million page views, and consistently led digital audiences in news about Cuba, establishing ourselves as a key reference point for Cubans both on and off the island. Furthermore, we celebrated a decade of independent reporting, achieving significant milestones such as three million followers on Facebook.
On our main Facebook page, CiberCuba Noticias reached 911.9 million views in the last 28 days, an increase of 18.6% compared to the previous period. Additionally, our content reached over 10 million unique users, representing a growth of 18.5%, while interactions (likes, comments, and shares) totaled 9.1 million, showing a remarkable 69.2% increase. During this brief period, we gained almost 143 thousand new followers, a significant increase of 127.4%.
We currently have over 3.83 million followers on our main Facebook page, with a majority being female (54.3%), primarily concentrated in the age groups of 25 to 44 years. Geographically, most of our followers are located in Cuba, followed by the United States, especially in cities like Havana, Santiago de Cuba, and Miami.
However, the most significant results come from our own platforms: the website and mobile app of CiberCuba. Over the last 12 months, these reached 23 million active users, particularly highlighting the historic weekly record of nearly 1.43 million active users recorded between March 2 and March 8, 2025. This achievement underscores the importance of the audience that directly seeks our content, beyond the reach provided by social media.
As of the year 2025, we have accumulated nearly 41 million page views on our website and app, reflecting a growth of 16.43% compared to the same period last year. Additionally, we set a historical daily record since the founding of CiberCuba a decade ago, exceeding 1.12 million page views in just 24 hours on March 2nd.
In these challenging times for independent media in Cuba, marked by the withdrawal of support, external pressures, and censorship, we reaffirm our strong commitment to independent journalism and the fight against the censorship imposed by the Cuban regime on our platform. Our mission remains to provide accurate and truthful information about Cuba and its people, staying close to the Cuban community, both on and off the island, with independence, rigor, and journalistic responsibility.
