A young man descended 25 meters into a well to save a man who had lost consciousness due to lack of oxygen. The incident occurred in June 2024. With the support of the Border Guard Troops, they were able to bring him to the surface in time to receive medical attention.

Also in March 2025, a rescue operation was launched at the Malecón in Havana to locate a missing young man who was swept away by the strong waves. Despite warnings about the dangerous sea conditions, the young man entered the water and could not return, which led to an intense search by the rescue forces and the National Revolutionary Police.
