A short circuit was the cause of a small-scale fire that occurred early Thursday morning at a bakery in the municipality of Fomento, in Sancti Spíritus, and it was quickly extinguished by the firefighters.

Around 5 a.m., while the bread was being made, a fire broke out at the bakery El tigre de oro, located in the North Popular Council, reported the newspaper Escambray.

The fire was extinguished in "a few minutes" by the local Fire Department, witnesses of the incident told the newspaper. It appears that no one was injured.
