A young Cuban has shared on TikTok what she received at the store in her area after six months without personal hygiene products being distributed through the supply rationing system.
"This is what the government gave us for five people registered at my home. Imagine if it's just one or two people; they would give you much less," the user @sheyreyes03 stated on the social network.
The hygiene kit provided, as shown by the young woman in the video, consisted of two bottles of liquid detergent, a tube of toothpaste, four bars of bath soap, and three bars of laundry soap.
“It all cost 75 Cuban pesos,” she stated, visibly indignant, while comparing the meager amount to the number of people who needed to be covered by that allocation.
The distribution of basic goods in Cuba through the rationing booklet has become increasingly irregular and scarce. Many families report going months without receiving essential items, while prices in the informal market soar and real wages lose purchasing power against inflation.
The video reflects the growing discontent of citizens who witness the decline in their quality of life as even the most basic personal and household hygiene products become scarce.
