"After more than 72 hours, the search efforts continue for the 8-year-old boy missing in Playa Boca Camarioca in Matanzas", this Wednesday by the official profile "Atenea Matancera."

Previously, the also official pro-government profile on social media "Karlos C. Roble," indicated that the search was ongoing, while specifying that "the efforts involve professionals and experts from the Ministry of the Interior, using techniques, divers, and naval resources.
The same source added that "rescuers, along with fishermen and local residents, are conducting extensive search operations along the irregular edges of the coast and the river in this area, as it is presumed that he was taken by the sea due to the specific characteristics of the location".
The work will continue by utilizing the studies conducted on the behavior of ocean currents in the area.
At the beginning of this week, Roble had already indicated that a specialized group of 17 divers had been leading operations at sea since Sunday, in an area known for its beauty but also for its danger.
What happened?
The tragedy occurred on the afternoon of April 5 in the Villa Los Pinos area, when the minor was enjoying a day at the beach with his older brother, who is 20 years old, and other family members.
In a moment of distraction, he was left in the water with a girl, without direct adult supervision, and shortly after, he was reported missing.
The initial hypotheses suggest that he may have been swept away by a wave or become lost among the gaps and unevenness of the seabed, typical of this beach.
