A passenger who was involved in an act of vandalism against a bus on the P9 route was arrested by authorities in the Centro Habana municipality.

According to the official profile Javier Gutiérrez, aligned with the Cuban regime, reported this Tuesday on Facebook, the incident occurred on April 12 at the intersection of San Lázaro and Márquez González, in the Cayo Hueso neighborhood, when a passenger attempting to board the bus headed for La Palma had an altercation with the vehicle's assistant driver.

In the midst of the discussion, the individual damaged the front door of the transport and fled the scene, according to the official report.

The driver reported the incident to the National Revolutionary Police (PNR), which initiated an immediate investigation.

Days later, on the morning of this Tuesday, authorities were able to arrest the alleged perpetrator at 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Zanja and Belascoaín in the municipality of Centro Habana.

The individual, a resident of Arroyo Naranjo, was taken into custody to face charges for the crime of damages, according to the report.

The government publication celebrated the arrest with an euphoric tone, referring to the detainee as a "bandit" and highlighting the supposed effectiveness of the "Sector Chief," without offering details about the judicial process or the context of the conflict.
