The heart-wrenching confession of the daughter of the Cuban who murdered his ex-wife in Tennessee

The Cuban was arrested this Thursday after having committed the crime on Monday.

A young Cuban named Rachel Rubio, who gained recognition in 2023 for working as a truck driver in the U.S., expressed her sorrow in a recent post about the murder of her stepmother, Niurka Alfonso Acevedo, at the hands of her father, Cándido Raúl Rubio Pérez, committed earlier this week in the city of Nashville, Tennessee.

A video is circulating on social media in which the young woman—daughter of Rubio Pérez's first marriage—makes harrowing confessions about her father's relationship with his stepmother, with whom he had been in a relationship for over 20 years.

“It was 24 years of violence. It wasn't just now. It wasn't just from now to the moment, it was 24 years of violence. It was 24 years where they separated, came back, separated, came back, but there was always, always violence”, Rachel said in a video initially published on her TikTok account, although it seems she later deleted it.

“Mujeres, do not allow a man to mistreat you for so many years. A united family is not synonymous with a happy family. Just because children are given a united family does not mean they will be happy, as in the end, that creates trauma in us. I speak from my own experience, as I witnessed problems between my parents until I was five years old,” she added.

The young woman detailed that her father consumed toxic substances, “the kind that are inhaled through the nose,” lived a wild life, and with his ex-partner, visited swingers clubs, that is, places for partner swapping.

Rachel specified that after her parents' separation, which occurred when she was five years old, she continued to "see problems" in her father's family.

“We all participated, we all suffered it since we were children,” he clarified.

Shock over the murder of her stepmother: "I am still in shock."

The young woman was visibly shocked by the murder committed by her father.

“I am still in shock. I can't believe it, I can't process it. I never thought my dad was capable of that,” she stated.

Rachel explained that she had last seen him just a couple of weeks ago in North Carolina, and she asserts that he looked "disturbed," although she never thought he would harm anyone.

“I saw him as troubled, he always spoke as if he were saying goodbye. I never thought he would hurt someone else, but I always believed he would harm himself because he always talked as if he were saying goodbye. It’s hard,” he detailed.

She recounts that even her aunt, her father's sister, once took her to Mexico to find a psychiatrist because she was "out of control with her nerves," and the family was afraid she would hurt herself.

However, despite such attempts, Rachel notes that he was an adult and could not be detained. "He was offered help, but he did not accept it," she stated.

Regarding his father's relationship with his ex-partner -whom he ultimately murdered- it is mentioned that he would watch her from a car, sit and observe her, pass by her house, always keeping an eye on her, indicating that this surveillance was not recent and that the family was aware of it.

“Women, be very careful. This is monstrous, this is unbelievable, we are all in shock because this was not expected,” he concluded.

Niurka and Cándido Raúl had two children together: a daughter and a son. In addition to these two children, there are two others, Rachel and another son, from a previous marriage.
