Chocolate MC appears before the Miami-Dade court and defends himself against the charges: "There was a tiny piece of crack like this."

The Cuban reggaeton artist is facing multiple charges in Miami, including robbery, drug possession, and threats. He was arrested after illegally entering a hotel room.

Yosvani Arismín Sierra Hernández appeared this Monday before the Miami-Dade court and Judge Mindy Glazer, after being arrested on Sunday by the county police.

Chocolate MC, as he is known in the artistic world, is currently facing several charges: theft in a hotel room, possession of controlled substances (crack), criminal damage, possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia with intent to consume, as well as written threats of murder and bodily harm, illegal use of a communication device, and another charge of assault outside the county.

In the video of the appearance published by América TeVe, Chocolate MC, defending himself against the accusations before the judge, countered: "How do they mention crack but not the pound of marijuana that was inside the room? There was quite a bit of marijuana and a little piece like this of crack."

Regarding the charge of trespassing, Chocolate added: “I was in my room, and I left my room and hid in another, how trespassing”.

“You entered one of the rooms, damaged the safe, caused damage in the room”, the judge clarified to her about this charge.

During the court appearance, his lawyer, Adolfo Gil, was present, who has previously gotten him out of jail on several occasions.

Although the judge warned him that his statements were being recorded, the reggaeton artist continued speaking: “Let them record, it doesn't matter. The most important thing is for them to talk to Ovi so that Ovi can speak with his boss and get me out of here (...) I'm tired, I'm hungover, take me back to the cell”.

Details of the arrest

The detailed arrest report by Telemundo 51 states that Chocolate MC was arrested "after authorities responded to an emergency concerning an unknown individual who allegedly entered a hotel room by unknown means (...) the officers established contact with the individual who was in room 629 of the Aloft hotel, located at 2524 Lejeune Rd, and he was then arrested for theft.”

Upon verifying the identity of the detained individual, the police identified that there was an arrest warrant against him issued on April 11 of this year in Miami-Dade County "for death threats and serious bodily injuries, for which there was a bail of $12,500."

The report indicates that these threats were made by Chocolate through his social media and directed at Damián Valdéz-Galloso, the man accused of the murder of El Taiger.

“Chocolate MC would have posted several times on Instagram and YouTube that he would pay 20 thousand dollars to whoever kills Valdéz-Galloso”, adds the cited media, and notes that the reggaeton artist threatened Valdez-Galloso in one of his posts by writing: “If the police don’t kill you, we will kill you”.

In another one of his posts, which he later deleted as he often does on his social media, there was a photo of a tattoo on his stomach with the initials ZMF (Zoe Mafia Family), a prison gang that groups people of Caribbean, Haitian, and African American descent.
