A police raid in Miami has left three men in custody, accused of attempting to pay for sex with minors in a hotel.

The undercover operation carried out by the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office, the Human Trafficking Task Force, and the Miami Police Department resulted in the arrest of three men who arrived to pay money believing they were going to engage in sexual relations with girls aged 12 and 14.

The operation, designed to attract sexual predators, was conducted through a fake online ad offering child sexual services.

According to the report from América TeVe, undercover agents posed as adult women offering their supposed underage daughters in exchange for money.

In the ad, which included a contact number, the men established communication and arranged to meet at a hotel in the city.

Once there -they arrived individually-, they proceeded to make the payment, at which point they were arrested by the police.

The detained individuals were identified as Tito Xavier Gutiérrez, 38 years old, and Daniel Xavier O’Neill and Tangir Jamil Riman, both 27 years old.

All face serious charges, including human trafficking, using technology to facilitate criminal acts, and transporting individuals to another county with the intent of engaging in sexual activities with minors.

This week, they appeared in court before Judge Mindy S. Glazer, where the prosecution requested that they remain in custody without the right to bail, given the severity of the charges.

Michael Vega, spokesperson for the Miami Police, emphasized that anyone attempting to engage in sexual acts with minors will face severe penalties under the law.

He assured that such interventions will continue to be carried out using different techniques.
