What was expected to be a day of luxury and glamour ended in a distressing maritime rescue off the coast of Miami Beach.
A group of approximately 30 influencers, who had boarded an exclusive Lamborghini Tecnomar yacht with the intention of capturing the perfect photo and enjoying a day of champagne under the sun, ended up being rescued after the partial sinking of the vessel.
The incident occurred around 5:00 p.m. on Sunday near Star Island, Florida, according to this report. The vessel, designed to carry up to five people and valued at over 4 million dollars, began to tilt dangerously to one side due to excessive weight. Within minutes, the situation became critical.
The United States Coast Guard, along with a private vessel, quickly responded to the scene after receiving the alert. A total of 32 people were evacuated from the yacht, which was already in a nearly vertical position. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Witnesses in the area were astonished by the scene. "We saw a lot of police boats, and there was another yacht capsized, completely vertical in the water," reported Rachel Miller to 7 News.
The moments following the shipwreck have caused a stir on social media, where images and videos of the incident went viral.
Some clips show the influencers laughing and dancing on lifeboats while the luxurious yacht sank to the bottom of the sea. In one of the recordings, a woman is seen hugging her MacBook, while another clings to a bottle of tequila valued at over $350.
Former Miss America Regan Hartley was one of the key figures in the viral incident, captured in the midst of the rescue while still holding onto the premium bottle, as stated by the New York Post.
