After nearly three days of uncertainty, the whereabouts of Jonathan Ortiz, a 26-year-old electric tricycle driver reported missing since Tuesday morning, were finally clarified thanks to the mobilization of Facebook users and the action of the police.
The young man was found on Thursday while under the influence of drugs he had taken with others in a rundown house in Old Havana.
Your friend Mileidis Pérez, who alerted about your absence days ago, has now shared the news of your location in the Facebook group "Bicimotos y triciclos en La Habana".

According to reports, the search gained significant momentum when several internet users sent information about possible locations through private messages.
With that information, First Lieutenant Pablo Valdés from the Picota Street Police Unit organized an operation with another officer, which resulted in the discovery of Ortiz outside a dilapidated property where a family also affected by substance use resides.
"The boy was drugged alongside a family in similar conditions, regardless of the presence of minors in that home in Old Havana, which was in very poor condition," Mileidis detailed.
The intervention also allowed for the recovery of the electric tricycle in good condition, which had been reported missing and was feared to have been stolen or vandalized.
“Fortunately, the tricycle that wasn’t his was recovered; at first, it was believed that he might have been assaulted and lost his life. It turned out to be quite the opposite,” said the young woman.
"It's a shame, because I never thought he was someone with those characteristics; he never showed any signs of being a person who used those substances," he added.
Mobilization on social media and initial complaint
The disappearance of Ortiz became known when Mileidis reported the case and sought help. In that post, she described Jonathan as a "good boy, from a good home and without malice," and detailed that, after not hearing from him or receiving any calls, the report was made to the police.
In addition, he shared two phone numbers for anyone who could provide information that would help find the young tricycle rider.
