A woman who had been missing since April in Santiago de Cuba was found in a hospital in that province, according to family sources confirmed to reporter Miguel Reyes.
The cousin of the missing citizen, Aliuvy Horruitiner, said this Saturday that the woman is already home with her family and was in a hospital in Caney.
"Yoendris' sister has been found missing since April... thanks to everyone who made it possible to find her; today she is home with her family, infinitely grateful. She was in a hospital in Santiago de Cuba in Caney," he wrote.
According to the report, a nurse from the hospital made contact with the family and facilitated their reunion.
"My sister has already appeared. May she continue to succeed as a journalist, and may God multiply it for you," said Yoendri Lamoth Vicente, the woman's brother, who had reported her disappearance last month.

Lamoth had reported that his sister—born on February 22, 1985, and mother of two daughters— resided in Reparto Chicharrones, in Santiago de Cuba, and suffered from an unspecified illness at that time.
The Cuban woman had been married in Jarahueca, but after a separation from her husband, who currently lives in Camagüey, she lost contact with her family.
She experiences crises for periods, which can last between 15 days and a month, but then she recovers and is a completely normal person. The last time we heard from her was when she went to Jarahueca, and at that moment she was not in crisis. Since then, we have heard nothing more,” her brother said.
Yoendri was afraid that his sister had tried to reach Camagüey, although he did not rule out other possibilities.
That case added to the growing concern about the number of missing persons in the country, especially those suffering from mental health conditions who do not receive the appropriate treatment or support.
Disappearances in Cuba have increased due to rising violence and a lack of access to essential medications for those with mental health conditions. The ineffectiveness of authorities in responding to these situations and the socioeconomic context of the country also contribute to the issue.
