Ovi publicly offends Hallel Génesis, and she responds: "Learn to respect women a little more."

Ovi and Hallel Génesis are at the center of a controversy on social media after an offensive comment made by the Cuban singer. Hallel's response was more than emphatic.

The Cuban singer Ovi sparked a controversy on social media this Friday after making an offensive comment about the artist Hallel Génesis, following her reference to one of his most characteristic phrases.

Everything started when Hallel shared a video on her Instagram stories in which she confessed that she had picked up the word "jefecito", a term that Ovi frequently uses.

The clip was replicated by the influencer Un Martí To Durako, which attracted the attention of the reggaeton artist.

Far from taking it humorously, Ovi reacted with an inappropriate comment: “Oh, how funny she is I don’t know her and I don’t want to know her either, I don’t like picking up someone else's milk with all the respect she deserves besides, I have 200 women, mmmmm that egg needs salt.”

Hallel did not remain silent and responded firmly from another post by the same influencer: “Boss, please don't make me speak in public, learn to respect women a little more and fight with men, not with me, oh and I have unfollowed you out of disrespect, greetings and respect always for you, you little man.”

After the wave of reactions and comments in support of the artist, Ovi publicly acknowledged his mistake: "It's true, I went too far. To correct oneself is the mark of wisdom."

Hallel's swift response and his call for respect towards women were praised by several users on social media, while the incident sparked a debate among internet users who witnessed the exchange of words.

Ovi is not at his best moment as he is currently in the midst of several controversies with Baby Alien and the Puerto Rican host known as Molusco.
