On February 24, 2024, it was the last time Estephanie Kisselbach saw her son, Kevin Alexander Blanco, five years old, with whom she resided in Key Biscayne.

“I haven't been with my son for over a year and he hasn't been with his mom,” she expressed tearfully in statements to Univision.

Following a complicated divorce process, Kisselbach and the child's father, Kevin Eduardo Blanco Uribe, shared custody of the boy.

However, everything changed when the father announced that he planned to take Kevin Alexander on vacation to Medellín, Colombia.

"The father had notified me a month earlier that he was going to take him on a supposed vacation. These vacations never happened. He took him to Venezuela, to where I never authorized," the mother recounted.

Since then, I can only see her son through occasional video calls.

“The contact was very poor, very irregular. I could go up to two weeks without speaking to my son,” she added.

As time went on and without news of the minor's permanent return, Kisselbach began a legal battle.

According to her explanation, her ex-husband tried to file lawsuits against her in Venezuela, but every instance ruled in her favor.

“They all demanded the immediate return of my son,” she stated.

In August 2024, a Venezuelan court ruled for the immediate return of the minor to their mother in the United States.

However, after that ruling, Estephanie stopped receiving calls from her son and completely lost track of his whereabouts.

On March 3rd, the Supreme Court of Justice of Venezuela upheld the decision to return Kevin Alexander to his mother.

At the same time, in a U.S. family court, progress was made in another legal proceeding that is nearing its resolution.

"The current situation is that the father's rights have been temporarily suspended. Several orders have been issued requesting the authorities to return the minor to the United States," explained Brett Feinstein, attorney for Kisselbach.

As of today, the whereabouts of the child remain unknown.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has it recorded as last seen in Key Biscayne in February 2024, along with his father.

Estephanie continues her fight, with unwavering hope, and is asking for help to reunite with her son.

"Honestly, I wish they would make him realize and try to show him that the child needs his mother,” she concluded, visibly affected.
