A young Cuban woman living in Spain has gone viral on TikTok after sharing an emotional testimony about the difficult experience she is facing away from her homeland and without the support of her own family abroad.

In the video posted on the account @yo_soykarlita, the Cuban woman shares the challenges of adapting to a new life in Spain, facing humiliation, mistreatment, and the loneliness that comes with starting from scratch without a close support network.

"The beginnings are so tough when one leaves the country in search of a better life," he/she expresses.

The young woman also claims that her family, who also lives in Spain, shut the doors to her even before her arrival.

"Just for a question, well, I’m practically… I mean, I’m in Spain and I’ve never known about the family I have here," she laments. Despite the rejection, she maintains a resilient attitude and insists that she will not give up.

"I'm here with a purpose; I don't care what happens, I'm going to achieve it," she states. She expresses gratitude for the country that has welcomed her, although she acknowledges that the life of immigrants is not easy and demands a lot of sacrifice. "Sitting around won't work; you have to earn it, really hard."
